The Story

Maggie and Kevin first met in 2015; two fresh college graduates rolling the dice by joining Teach For America in Florence County, South Carolina. At the time, romance was not in the air. Kevin thought Maggie was too “brainy and serious” (He wasn’t wrong). Maggie was not interested in mixing work and play with some Yankee transplant. Instead, the two became good friends and did their best to survive the perils of the classroom.

After their three year commitment, both decided to pursue other careers with Kevin moving to Chicago for law school and Maggie heading to Charlotte on a journey to figure out what she wanted to do. Fast forward to early 2023. Maggie is being brainy and serious while attending medical school in Charleston. Kevin happens to be in town for the weekend visiting TFA friends, Cameron and Gus. Fortunately for the couple, Cam sent Maggie a last minute text to join the crew, and she said absolutely!

Kevin bought Maggie a dirty martini, and the rest is history. The pair kept in touch. Texts evolved into phone calls, phone calls turned into plane tickets and ultimately lead to a New York/Vermont visit to make it official.

Several years, many flights and a move to North Carolina later, Maggie and Kevin are sealing the deal and getting married! We are so excited to have you join us in celebration.

Where do we park?

For the ceremony, the nearest parking garage is the Cumberland St Parking garage (90 Cumberland St, Charleston, SC).

For the reception, the King &amp; Queen St Parking Garage is a close parking option to Hibernian Hall (85 Queen Street). However, Hibernian Hall is a very quick walk from Cumberland St Parking Garage and the church.

Not interested in driving? Charleston has plenty of ubers to get you and to and fro!

How do we get to the reception? 

Hibernian Hall is a quick 5 minute walk from the church! We are praying for lovely weather and a quick stroll through the lovely streets of Historic Downtown Charleston before we boogie down.

The nearest airport is Charleston International Airport! It is located in North Charleston and a quick 15-20 minute uber or car rental drive away from the penninsula.
