Maggie and Kevin first met in 2015; two fresh college graduates rolling the dice by joining Teach For America in Florence County, South Carolina. At the time, romance was not in the air. Kevin thought Maggie was too “brainy and serious” (He wasn’t wrong). Maggie was not interested in mixing work and play with some Yankee transplant. Instead, the two became good friends and did their best to just survive the perils of the classroom.

After a couple of years, both decided to pursue other careers with Kevin moving to Chicago for law school and Maggie heading to Charlotte on a journey to figure out what she wanted to do.

Fast forward to early 2023. Maggie is being brainy and serious while attending med school in Charleston and Kevin happens to be in town for the weekend visiting friends, Cameron and Gus. Fortunately for the couple, Cam sent Maggie a last minute text to join the crew, and she said absolutely!

Kevin bought Maggie a dirty martini, and the rest is history. The pair kept in touch. Texts evolved into phone calls, phone calls turned into plane tickets and that led to a Vermont visit to make it official.

Several years, many flights and a move to North Carolina later, Maggie and Kevin are sealing the deal and getting married! We are so excited to have you join us in celebration.
